Description

In the order of:
Ramona and her mothers, Jacques and her other sisters, Cysiphen and his mother, as well as his step sister, and last of all -
Memphis.

More details:
Ramona - Despite living out her own life with her friends now, Ramona and her mothers are very close to each other. They may make an odd family filled with quirks, each having such headstrong personalities and all being badass in their own way, but they are a very positive, wild and empowering bunch! Ramona has had an older sibling, but ah, for now I've decided that the sibling is sadly deceased from health complications.

Jacques - She actually has five other sisters, all whom work as high status succubi demons, have curvy bodies and lustrous black hair, which evidently makes her stand as the odd one out of the group with her spider silk hair and tall, lean stature. Her relationship with them is mostly unhappy, as they make her believe that she has to pay for everything to prove her worth as a sidejob taker, which has lead to her becoming very angry when people foil her errands and feeling that she is never going to get enough money. Only the second eldest sibling, depicted in the picture with her, is the one she tolerates better, since she's the only one who takes time to soothe her rage. This sibling also takes the most money from her, but at least Jacques is less reluctant about it, right?

Cysiphen - Having left the land of his birth in his younger years because he could no longer stand the environment in which they treated a halfling like him, he still keeps in contact with his distant mother over the years. One formal letter every six months is all he can muster since communication has always been rather stunted between them. His mother tends to keep a lot of things from him, like the news that he has a stepsister, or the fact that she is actually proud of him and his greedy ambition, while Cysiphen scarcely tells her of his own personal feelings. However, she can read his thought process a lot better than he is aware of.

Memphis - The guy who just is.

The lonely boy.

Man, and you say I hurt you with feels. The order of happiness here just hurts my soul man. I really like you had shadows representing the figures distant to the main characters. (Though I do wonder why even though you say Jacques has five sisters, one is missing-) The expressions to each character really does speak volumes to me. Ramona is obviously happy with her moms and they're all happy to be with one another. The hesitation and awkwardness of the interaction really shows for Jacques but there's also that hit of acceptance of the interaction, like she's caught off guard. Like she's isolated herself from the other for so long, she's surprised by the interaction even though she knows that sister is the only one she tolerates. Cysiphen looks like he knows his place and where he needs to be. He knows what his mother did and why she did. It's not a look of isolation he has but one of acceptance I feel? Like he knows no matter what, it was gonna end up like this. He is lonely but he still has family in some estranged form. Then there's Memphis. Goddamn Memphis. A lonely soul who doesn't know his place in life. Alone. Lost even. Despite the gradient from lightest to dark (from Ramona to Cysiphen) Memphis' panel is the darkest of them all. I really like how that white give the panel an ambient feeling. Like Memphis in the end is a ghost in the background. One who wonders to search for his purpose and place. And yet he knows in the end, deep down he doesn't want to know where he belongs because once he does, he know he'll want to forget. So he's in this sort of limbo between the light and dark. So as you say, he is the man "who just is".

HAHA sorry that last part turned into a narrative. It just came spewing out. But damn, when I step into Memphis' shoes, or what I guess what it's like, it's such a lonely and big world. I feel so small and I just can't help but think, "What a prison. How is a life or world like this possible." And like I've been RPing Nick and Devon as of late in an AU where they're abusive relationship is a sick twisted on and it just made me really realize how terrible it is in some cases when you're in a life so alone and lacking of love you start to misunderstand any form of human interaction as some form of kindness, you're willing to accept anyone in your life so long as you have some form of human touch. Like his relationship with Cysiphen? Even if he's bound, what's keeping him from walking away from Cysiphen. Leave in to starve when he need's his blood? Is it an absolute necessity for Memphis to feed Cys? He get's nothing out of it right? He doesn't have to right? Like damn, Memphis Rex you hurt my soul OTL

//lies down, sorry I'll shut up now OTL

BUT UH HAHA HAPPY THOUGHTS-
